Brigitte Weisleitner (born January 11, 1973 in Kitzbühel ) is a former Austrian biathlete .

Brigitte Weisleitner lives in Waidring and works as a secretary. The athlete, who started for the SC Waidring , began biathlon in 1993. In the same year the Austrian made her debut in Bad Gastein in the Biathlon World Cup and finished 65th in an individual. She collected her first points in 24th place on the same route a year later. In 1995 Weisleitner competed in their first biathlon world championships in Antholz and was 29th in the individual and 33rd in the sprint. She ran the most successful World Cup weekend for the athlete in 1996 in Osrblie . With a fifth place in the individual and 10th place in the sprint, she achieved her best results in individual races. Due to the lack of a female athlete blanket in Austria, she never competed in a relay race in her career. The 1996 biathlon world championships in Ruhpolding were Weisleitner's last world championships and her best result was 30th place in the individual. Between 2000 and 2002 she took part in three European championships and achieved her best result in her last continental championship in Kontiolahti as twelfth in the individual. At the Holmenkollen in Oslo , the Austrian ran her last World Cup races at the 2002 season finale and then ended her career. She had to end her last race, a pursuer, after she was overtaken by Magdalena Forsberg .
