At the beginning of the 2004/05 winter season, the Czech also made her debut in the European Junior Cup. The highlight of the season, the Junior World Championship in 2005, did not produce any results worth mentioning. This she achieved with ninth place in the individual 2006 at the Junior World Championships in Presque Isle . With the season she was eighth with the season as in 2008 in Martell . In sprint and pursuit, she achieved results between 30 and 40 in both years. Her last international junior races took place, like the first, as part of the Summer World Championships. In Otepää , Tomešová missed another medal as sprint fourth in the cross-country run.

For the 2007/08 season Tomešová started for the first time in the European Biathlon Cup . The best results of her first season were results among the top 20. In Ruhpolding , she was able to celebrate her debut in the biathlon world cup in 2008 and finished 83rd in the sprint. She had a job at the Biathlon European Championships in 2008 in Nové Město na Moravě . In the continental title fights she was 51st in the pursuit. The 2008/09 season in the IBU Cup also brought good results, including the first single-digit result . The 2009 Summer Biathlon European Championships in Nové Město also went well . Tomešová was 15th in the sprint, sixth in the mass start and won the silver medal in the mixed relay competition together with Zdeňka Vejnarová , Luboš Schorný and Jaroslav Soukup .

Tomešová was part of the Czech squad for the World Cup at the beginning of the 2009/10 season and was now used more and more frequently. However , she missed participation in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver . At the World Cup in Kontiolahti, Finland in 2010, Tomešová was able to win her first World Cup points as 37th in the sprint and at the same time qualify for a pursuit race for the first time. There she missed another point win as 41st by one place, which she won as 40th of the sprint at Holmenkollen in Oslo and finally came 97th in the overall World Cup standings. She also achieved good results at the 2010 European Biathlon Championships in Otepää. The best result was a fourth place in the pursuit after she was 13th in the sprint. At the 2010 Biathlon World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk , she finished seventh in the mixed race at the season finale alongside Gabriela Soukalová , Michal Šlesingr and Jaroslav Soukup. The 2010/11 World Cup season brought a new personal best with a 22nd place in the Pokljuka sprint .

After the end of the 2015/16 season , she ended her career as an active biathlete. She contested her last race at the World Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk in March 2016, after three shooting errors she reached 69th place in the sprint.
