Andrij Wassylowytsch Derysemlja ( Ukrainian Андрій Васильович Дериземля even English Andriy Deryzemlya , scientific. Transliteration Andrij Deryzemlja * 18th August 1977 in Schowtnewe , Sumy , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Ukrainian biathlete .

Andrij Derysemlja, who lives in Chernihiv, starts for Dynamo Kiev and is trained by Mykola Soz. He has been biathlon since 1989 and has been a member of the national team since 1996. In 1996 he made his debut in the Biathlon World Cup with a sprint in Östersund (81st). In 1999 he was on the podium for the first time and among the top three in a sprint at Holmenkollen in Oslo . In 2003 he was able to win his only World Cup race in a mass start in Antholz .

In 1998 in Nagano , 2002 in Salt Lake City , 2006 in Turin and 2010 in Vancouver he took part in the Olympic Games. His best result was a 5th place in the 2010 sprint in Vancouver.

He always participated in world championships between 1997 and 2007. In the title fights in 2005 in Hochfilzen he achieved good results in sprint (11th), pursuit (8th) and mass start (6th). On February 3, 2007, he celebrated his greatest success to date. He won the bronze medal in sprint races at the 2007 Biathlon World Championships in Antholz .
