Sergei Alexandrovich Konovalov

Sergei Alexandrowitsch Konovalov ( Russian Сергей Александрович Коновалов ; born April 9, 1973 in the Kazakh SSR ) is a former Russian biathlete .

At the 2004 Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof , he won the bronze medal in the mass start. The 2003/2004 season was his most successful in the World Cup. Sergei Konovalov finished 15th in the overall World Cup. Nevertheless, Konovalov was unable to prevail in the Russian World Cup team in the long run. At the European Championships in 2003 he finished second in the relay and at the European Championships in 2008 he won the gold medal in the pursuit. He ended his career at the end of the 2007/2008 season. He lives in Tchaikovsky .
