Anna Vitalievna Sorokina

Anna Witaljewna Sorokina ( Russian Анна Витальевна Сорокина ; born December 1, 1981 in Vladimir ) is a Russian biathlete .

Anna Sorokina has been practicing biathlon since 1996. She lives in the Tyumen area . The sports soldier is trained by Sergei Schestow and Leonid Guriew. In 2004 she made her debut in Obertilliach as third in an individual in the European Cup. In 2006 she started the biathlon world cup in Oberhof for the first time and was 23rd in the sprint to collect her first world cup points. The following season she finished in Östersund after a 40th place in the sprint, an 18th place in the pursuit and thus her best result in a World Cup race. Anna Sorokina is more successful at the summer biathlon. In the mass start, she finished third at the 2007 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Otepää.
