Paulina Bobak (born October 1, 1984 in Zakopane ) is a former Polish biathlete .

Paulina Bobak from AZS AWF Katowice has been running biathlon since 1998. The student from Kościelisko has been a member of the Polish national team since 2000. She is trained by Adam Kolodziejczyk. She made her international debut at the Junior World Championships in 2002 in Ridnaun , where she finished sixth. In the following year in her homeland Kościelisko and in 2005 in Kontiolahti , she could not achieve outstanding results. At the Junior European Championships Bobak started for the first time in 2002 in Kontiolahti. The best result was a fifth relay place. The following year in Forni Avoltri this result could be improved by one place. In 2004 in Minsk she even won silver with the relay. In 2005 in Novosibirsk she again won the relay silver and gold in singles. At the Biathlon World Championships 2007 in Antholz , she started for the first time at the Senior World Championships . In the singles she was 70th, with the relay Bobak was tenth.

Bobak made her European Cup debut in 2003, 14th in the sprint and fourth in the pursuit. She made her debut in the biathlon world cup in 2006 in a relay race in Oberhof (13th). Shortly afterwards she achieved her best placings in Gurnigel with an eighth place in the sprint, a fifth place in the pursuit and a fourth place in the mass start and rose to the World Cup. In her first individual race in 2006 in Östersund , she was 64th in the individual. In 2007 in Antholz and in 2008 in Östersund, she started at the biathlon world championships . Both times she started in the singles and with the relay. 2007 Bobak came in 70th in the singles and was tenth in the relay. In the following year she reached a good 35th place in the individual and thus her second-best World Cup result. Even with seventh place in the relay, she also achieved her best World Cup result so far in this form of competition. It took until the 2008/09 season that Bobak reached placements in the points. The first she won in 2008 as 19th in the individual from Hochfilzen . It was not until the first race of the 2010/11 season that she was able to achieve a better placement as 14th of an individual in Östersund. In between, there was participation in the 2009 World Championships in Pyeongchang , where Bobak was only used in singles and was 37th. At the European Championships 2010 in Otepää , Bobak achieved good results. she was 14th of the individual, ninth of the sprint and seventh in the pursuit race and with the Polish relay. Later in the year she took part in the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2010 in Duszniki-Zdrój , where she was 26th in the sprint and could improve to ninth in the pursuit race.
