Alexandra Camenșcic (born August 28, 1988 in Criuleni , Rajon Criuleni , Moldovan SSR ) is a Moldovan biathlete .

Life

Alexandra Camenșcic lives in Chișinău and has been running biathlon since 2007. The student is trained by Vasile Bejenariu. She competed in her first international races in 2007 as part of the Junior European Cup. Here she just missed top ten results in Bansko . The highlights of the first season were the Junior World Championship 2008 in Ruhpolding and the Junior European Championship in Nové Město na Moravě . Here she was able to place in all of his races for 60th place in both competitions. At the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2008 in Haute-Maurienne , she achieved her noteworthy results with the juniors, only in the mixed relay she ran for the women and came sixth with Natalja Levtschenkowa , Sergiu Balan and Victor Pînzaru . The 2009 Junior World Championships in Canmore brought the 45th place in the individual and 47th in the sprint and pursuit.

For the 2008/09 season Camenşcic moved up to the IBU Cup for women. In her first sprint race in Obertilliach , she was 75. It should remain her worst position of the season. In Osrblie , the Moldovan finished 17th in the individual and 15th in the sprint, achieving her best results so far in the competition series. The high point of the season was the 2009 Biathlon World Championships in Pyeongchang . In the world championships in South Korea Camenșcic reached places 86 in the individual and 90 in the sprint. After that she took part in the Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec and came in 85th place in the sprint.

Her best result so far in the Biathlon World Cup reached Camenșcic in 2010 as 81st in a sprint race in Oberhof . She took 70th place in cross-country skiing at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver over 10 km freestyle. At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme , she finished 94th in the sprint and 88th place over 10 km freestyle.

At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , she reached 71st place in cross-country skiing over 10 km classic and 84th place in the biathlon sprint.
