Sergei Alexandrowitsch Danilenko ( Russian Сергей Александрович Даниленко ; born April 8, 1984 ) is a Russian biathlete .

Sergei Danilenko appeared internationally for the first time as part of the junior competitions of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2004 in Osrblie , where he was 34th in the sprint and then improved by ten places to 24th in the pursuit race. With Vladimir Semakov and Pawel Tschuprijanow he just missed a medal in the relay race as fourth-placed, which he won behind Michal Šlesingr and Ondřej Moravec with bronze. This was followed by the Biathlon Junior World Championships in 2005 in Kontiolahti . Danilenko ran a good World Championship, but just missed a medal in almost all races. In the individual and relay races he came closest to a medal in fourth place, in the sprint race he was fifth, then fell back to 12th place in the pursuit race. He then took part in the junior competitions of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2005 in Muonio . Here the Russian was able to achieve his greatest international successes in the junior division. He started in all four races and won a medal in all four competitions. With Tschuprijanow and Alexei Katrenko he won the gold medal in the relay race, was second behind Ondřej Moravec in the sprint and won bronze behind Moravec and Katrenko in the pursuit and behind Katrenko and Kaspars Dumbris in the mass start race.

Among the men in the performance area, Danilenko focuses primarily on the summer biathlon . For example, he finished third behind Michail Kotschkin and Priit Viks in a roller ski pursuit race in Otepää as part of the IBU Summer Cup 2008 . The first international championship was the 2008 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Haute-Maurienne . Here, too, Danilenko took part in the competitions on roller skis and reached places 21 in the sprint and 28 in the pursuit.
