Magdalena Nykiel

Magdalena Nykiel (born March 25, 1983 ) is a Polish biathlete .

Magdalena Nykiel competed in the Junior World Championships for the first time in Ridnaun in 2002 . Your results were not worth mentioning there. In the same year, things went better at the European Junior Championships in Kontiolahti , where she placed around 20th in sprint and pursuit. Placements between 20 and 30 she reached also at the Junior World Championships 2003 in Kościelisko and at the Junior European Championships in Forni Avoltri , where she was also fourth with the relay. She played her last Junior World Championships in Haute-Maurienne in 2004 and finished 15th in the pursuit and sixth in the relay, her best results in this competition. The European Junior Championships in Minsk that same year were also the last competition of this kind for Nykiel. Here she was seventh in the pursuit and won the silver medal with the Polish relay.

In 2004 , the Polish woman took part in the senior biathlon world championships for the first time in Oberhof . In her only race, the sprint, she finished 73rd. At the Biathlon World Championships in 2005 in Hochfilzen , Nykiel started in three races. In the sprint she was 59th, in the pursuit 53 and 12th with the relay. She ran over two distances at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games of Turin , was 56th in the sprint and had the prosecution because it depends Kati Wilhelm was lapped end prematurely. At the following major events Nykiel could not achieve any results worth mentioning, only at the World Championships in the summer biathlon 2006 in Ufa she achieved good placements, about a ninth place in the pursuit.

The best results here are ninth place so far, achieved in 2005 in San Sicario and 2006 in Hochfilzen.
