Darya Aljaksandrauna Jurkewitsch ( Belarusian Дар'я Аляксандраўна Юркевіч , Russian Дарья Александровна Юркевич , English Darya Yurkevich * 6. March 1988 in Minsk , Byelorussian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Belarusian biathlete .

Darja Jurkewitsch contested her first international races as part of the junior competitions of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2008 in Haute-Maurienne . In the sprint on roller skis she ran to 23rd place and was 13th in the pursuit race. This was followed by participation in the Junior European Championships 2008 in Canmore , where she was 21st of the individual, 20th of the sprint, 25th of the pursuit and with the Season sixth. Shortly afterwards, she also took part in the junior competitions of the 2009 European Biathlon Championships in Ufa , in individual she just missed a medal in fourth place, was 25th in the sprint, 15th in the pursuit and won alongside Maryja Kaslouskaja and Ala Talkatsch the silver medal in the relay race. The season ended with the 2008 Military World Ski Championships in Hochfilzen . Jurkewitsch was 40th in the biathlon singles. In the 2009/10 season Yurkevich made her debut in the IBU Cup . In her first race, an individual in Ridnaun , she was 35th and won her first points. At the beginning of 2010 the debut in the biathlon world cup in Antholz followed . In the individual, the Belarusian came in 62nd place. In Otepää she took part in her first major event for women as part of the 2010 European Biathlon Championships , where she was 12th in the individual, 42nd in the sprint, 31st in the pursuit and with Iryna Babezkaja , Karina Sawossik and Darja Nestertschik as the final runner Season eight. The season ended again with the Military World Ski Championships in Brusson , where it was 27th in the sprint and with Wiktorija Lapazina, Babezkaja and Hanna Zwetawa in the military patrol run to ninth place. The 2010 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Duszniki-Zdrój brought sixth place in the mixed relay race alongside Babezkaja, Maksim Jelissejeu and Sjarhej Daschkewitsch .

In the 2016/17 season , Jurkewitsch surprisingly took third place in the individual competition in Östersund on November 30, 2016 and thus her first podium finish in the World Cup.
