Karina Sawossik ( Belarusian Каріна Савосік , English Karina Savosik ; born  June 21, 1989 in Nawahrudak , Belarusian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Belarusian biathlete .

Career

Karina Sawossik first took part in 2007 in Martell in the Junior World Championships and was 28th in the individual, 55th in the sprint and just missed a medal in fourth place with the relay. In 2008 the Junior World Championship followed in Ruhpolding , where Sawossik was 60th in the individual, 27th in the sprint, 44th in the pursuit and seventh in the relay. This was followed by participation in the races of the Biathlon World Championships 2008 in Nové Město na Moravě . In the individual, she was used in the juniors and was 44th, for the relay race she was appointed to the side of Nastassja Hruschezkaja , Nadseja Skardsina and Wolha Zezjaruk in the women's relay , with which she reached seventh place. Later in the year she took part in the roller ski junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2008 in Haute-Maurienne and won bronze medals in the relay and in the sprint behind Marine Bolliet and Anaïs Bescond . In the pursuit, she dropped to seventh place.

In Canmore , Sawossik started again in 2009 at the Junior World Championships and was there 46th of the individual, 21st of the sprint, 23rd of the pursuit and sixth in the relay race. This was followed by participation in the Junior Summer Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof , where the Belarusian won the silver medals on roller skis in the relay race as well as behind Megan Tandy in the sprint race. In the pursuit race, Anastassija Romanowa pushed between Tandy and Sawossik. The fourth and final participation in a Junior World Championship followed in Torsby . Sawossik finished 29th in the individual, was 38th in the sprint, did not finish the pursuit race and was fifth with the relay. At the 2010 European Biathlon Championships in Otepää , the Belarusian started again in the individual races in the junior division and was 32nd in the individual, 18th in the sprints and 21st in the pursuit. For the season, Sawossik was again appointed to the women's relay of Belarus, where she was eighth with Iryna Babezkaja , Darya Neserchik and Darja Jurkewitsch . She contested her last junior races at the 2010 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Duszniki-Zdrój . In the sprint she was 17th, 13th in the pursuit race and seventh in the relay.

In Obertilliach , Sawossik 2009, apart from her relay starts at the European Biathlon Championships , competed for the first time with women in the performance area. She was 57th in the IBU Cup Sprint. In 2011 she was 40th of an individual and won points for the first time in Annecy .
