Nina Karassewytsch ( Ukrainian Ніна Карасевич , born October 29, 1984 ) is a former Ukrainian biathlete .

Nina Karassewytsch made her international debut at the Junior World Championships in Ridnaun in 2002 . There she won the silver medal in the individual, but the remaining races did not bring any noteworthy results. A year later in Kościelisko , Poland , 14th place was the best result in the sprint. Before the 2004 Junior World Championships in Haute-Maurienne , the Ukrainian ran several races in the Junior European Cup, but was not able to stand out there. Eighth place with the relay was the best result at the World Cup. In 2004 Karasewitsch also took part in a European Junior Championship for the first time. In Minsk she reached sixth place in the individual and fifth in the relay. The following year she won bronze with the relay at the Junior European Championships in Novosibirsk with Vita and Valj Semerenko . In 2005 she ran her last Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti , but only achieved seventh place with the relay as the best place.

Since the 2005/2006 season Karassewytsch started in the senior sector. First she competed in the Biathlon European Cup and won the sprint of Obertilliach in 2006 as 24th first points. Subsequently, the Ukrainian was used in Oberhof for the first time in the Biathlon World Cup . She finished 47th in the sprint and thus achieved her best result in the World Cup. The best result at the Universiade 2007 in Turin was 15th place in the individual. At the European Championships in 2008 in Nové Město na Moravě Karassewytsch won the bronze medal in the sprint after an 18th place in the individual. In the subsequent pursuit, she was able to overtake the sprint winner, her Ukrainian team-mate Oxana Jakowlewa , despite five shooting errors, and became European champion. It remained her only international title.

Karassewytsch contested her last World Cup race on January 3, 2010 at the sprint in Ruhpolding. On October 29, 2012 - on her 28th birthday - she announced the end of her sporting career.
