Marija Alexandrovna Demidowa ( Russian Мария Александровна Демидова ; born August 1, 1988 in Omsk ; † July 26, 2013 there ) was a Russian biathlete .

Marija Demidowa had her first international appearances at the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2007 in Otepää . In the competitions that were held on roller skis , she finished seventh in the sprint and fifth in the pursuit race. 2008 followed missions at the Junior World Championships in Ruhpolding , where Demidowa was 33rd of the sprint and 28th of the pursuit. The Russian competed a second time at the 2009 Junior World Championships in Canmore , where she finished 18th in both the individual, sprint and pursuit. In 2010 the first assignments with women in the performance area followed. In the IBU Cup , Demidowa made her debut in the Haute-Maurienne sprint , finished ninth and immediately achieved a single-digit placement. In the pursuit race that followed, she achieved her best result in the second highest racing series with fourth place.

Nationally, Demidova won the title at the Russian Biathlon Championships 2010 with Anna Bogali-Titowez , Tatjana Sevachina and Olga Medvedzewa with the relay starting for Siberia .

At the 2010 Summer Biathlon World Championships , she won the silver medal with the Russian mixed relay team.

She was killed in a traffic accident in her hometown on July 26, 2013.
