Alexander Sapozhnikov ( Russian Александр Сапожников even Alexander Sapozhnikov transcribed; * 3. July 1989 ) is a Russian cross country - Sommerbiathlet .
Alexander Saposhnikov took part internationally for the first time in the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2009 in Oberhof , where he was 14th in the sprint and ninth in the pursuit race. Two years later he started in Martell at his first major men's event, the 2011 European Summer Biathlon Championships . Here he finished seventh in both the sprint and the pursuit, benefiting from his quite good shooting result - one mistake in the sprint and five in the pursuit.
