Yekaterina Sergeyevna Smirnova ( Russian Екатерина Сергеевна Смирнова * 27 July 1990 in Kineshma , Ivanovo ) is a Russian cross country - Sommerbiathletin .

Jekaterina Smirnowa made her international debut at the Summer Biathlon European Championships 2011 in Martell , where she won all three junior titles with the sprint in front of Thordis Arnold and Jelena Jarkowa , the pursuit in front of Arnold and Eva Puskarčíková and the mixed race. A year later she took part in the women's races at the European Championships in Osrblie and came 12th in the sprint and ninth in the pursuit race.
