Michael Galassi (born January 4, 1990 in Tolmezzo ) is a former Italian biathlete .

Michael Galassi lives in Paluzza . He starts for CS Forestale and has been a member of the Italian national squad since 2009 and of the men's B squad since 2011. He made his international debut at the 2010 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Torsby , where he won the silver medal in the first race, the individual, behind Yann Guigonnet . He was 20th in the sprint, 22nd in the pursuit and tenth in the relay race. The Italian could not repeat this success at the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2011 in Nové Město na Moravě and was 21st of the individual, 14th of the sprint, 19th of the pursuit and again the relay tenth. Shortly afterwards Galassi started in the junior races of the Biathlon European Championships 2011 in Ridnaun . In his Italian homeland he reached the ranks 18 in the individual, 15 in the pursuit after he had just missed a medal against Michal Krčmář in the sprint in fourth as well as fourth in the relay.

For men in the performance area, Galassi has been competing in the IBU Cup since the end of the 2009/10 season . In his first sprint in Martell , he was 41st and missed the points by one place. A little later he came in the points for the first time as 24th of a sprint in Pokljuka . In 2011 in Annecy he achieved his best result in the racing series with 17th place in an individual. The first major event among men was the 2011 European Summer Biathlon Championships in Martell, where Galassi was 21st in the sprint and 17th in the pursuit.
