Tobias Schröder starts for the SC 1927 Koethen . He took part for the first time in Ufa in the Junior Summer Biathlon World Championships and was there 22nd in the sprint and 21st in the pursuit. In 2008 he was sixth in both the sprint and the pursuit in Haute-Maurienne . He also achieved this rank in the pursuit at the Junior World Championships in Oberhof in 2009 after finishing ninth in the sprint. Just a few weeks before the Junior World Championships 2009, Schröder was together with Andreas Hoffmann and Christoph Finze at the German Championships in the summer biathlon 2009 with the relay of Saxony-Anhalt in the air rifle competitions German champion. At the Summer Biathlon European Championships 2011 in Martell , Schröder reached 20th place in the sprint and came 21st in the pursuit race.
