Jembrana is a government district ( Kabupaten ) on the Indonesian island of Bali . It has an area of 842 km² and a population of 323,211 (2017). Its seat is the city of Negara .
geography
Jembrana is located in the southwest of Bali. The government district of Buleleng is to the north and Tabanan to the east .
history
In 1964 the Jembrana disease virus first appeared in Bali cattle in the administrative district . This disease, which is deadly for cattle, only occurs in certain places in Indonesia.

The Kabupaten Tabanan consists of the five districts ( Kecamatan ) Jembrana , Melaya , Mendoyo , Negara and Pekutatan .
