Jenny Gropp

Jenny Gropp , also Jenny Gropp Hess (* 1979 in Houston , Texas ) is an American poet and author .

life and work

Jenny Gropp studied English literature at the University of Montana up to a Bachelor of Arts . After completing her bachelor's degree, she spent a few years abroad and worked as an English teacher in Japan. She then studied Creative Writing at the University of Alabama , and graduated with a Master of Fine Arts .

She was Senior Editor of The Georgia Review from 2012 to 2018 and lived in Athens .

She is currently the Assistant Director of the Woodland Pattern Book Center in Milwaukee .

Jenny Gropp has published numerous poems, including in Colorado Review, Seneca Review, Denver Quarterly, American Letters & Commentary, Seattle Review, DIAGRAM, Best New Poets 2012, and Columbia: A Journal of Literature & Art.
