Jenny Scobel
Jenny Scobel (* 1955 in Orrville , Ohio ) is an American artist.
She draws portraits on primed wooden panels. She finds visual material in newspaper clippings, photographs and cartoons, but also quotes from art history. Both completely unknown people (including the artist) and famous, predominantly female heads such as the young Jacqueline Kennedy or Michelle Pfeiffer are depicted . The background is often borrowed from American comics.
