Jens Dennhardt (born January 16, 1968 in Cologne ) is a German SPD politician .

education and profession

Dennhardt attended a comprehensive school in Cologne and passed his Abitur there in 1987. This was followed by a degree in economics at the University of Cologne , which he completed in 1997. In 1998 he worked as a consultant in a management consultancy specializing in the culture and leisure sector in Krefeld . In 2001 he was in Bremen Head of Organizational Development of Cultural Management Bremen GmbH. Since 2005 he has been acting deputy head of department at the cultural institution funding in Bremen; this position has been suspended since his election to the Bremen citizenship .

politics

Dennhardt joined the SPD in 1984 and was active as the district school spokesman for Cologne (1984–1986). He was a board member of the Jusos of the subdistrict of Cologne (1986–1990) and Juso - secretary and press spokesman (1988–1990). In 1989 he ran for the Cologne SPD in the local elections. From 1992 to 1997 he was editor of the köln-vorwärts . In 2004 he became a member of the board of the SPD local association Hemelingen in Bremen , later deputy chairman and since 2014 he has been chairman of the local association. He is chairman of the school development association on Glockenstrasse.

He was a member of the Bremen parliament from 2007 to 2011 in the 17th legislative period . He was represented in the committees for information and communication technology and media affairs, for the facilitation of popular legislation and further development of the electoral law, in the temporary committee according to Article 125 of the state constitution, in the temporary committee for the implementation of Federalism Reform II, in the petition, budget and financial and in the auditing committee and in the building and technology management and environmental management committees in Bremen as well as in the deputation for the environment and energy.
