Jens Ekkenga

Jens Ekkenga (* 1956 in Emden ) is a German legal scholar and professor at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen .

Life

Ekkenga studied from 1975 jurisprudence at the University of Frankfurt , where he graduated in 1981 with the First State Exam. After taking the second state examination in 1984, Ekkenga initially worked as a lawyer in Frankfurt until 1995 . In 1989 he did his doctorate with Hans-Joachim Mertens in Frankfurt. iur. In 1995 Ekkenga completed his habilitation there and received the Venia Legendi for the subjects civil law, commercial and company law, international private law, comparative law and labor law.

For Ekkenga, he was deputy professor at the universities of Dresden , Berlin and Mannheim . Since the winter semester 1996/97 he has held the chair for civil law, commercial and economic law and comparative law at the University of Giessen . In addition, Ekkenga has worked as an of counsel and scientific advisor for various law firms . His main areas of work are business law, corporate law and capital market law.
