Folk dance ensemble Thea Maass

The folklore dance ensemble "Thea Maass" of the TU Dresden is an amateur dance ensemble founded in 1950 at the Technische Hochschule Dresden for the maintenance and revival of German folklore . The ensemble has been named since 1990 after the choreographer and dance director Thea Maass (1908–1989). Traditional folklore should be cultivated in all its diversity. The ensemble is regularly represented internationally at folklore festivals of the CIOFF ( International Council for the Organization of Folklore Festivals and Folk Art) and takes part in dance competitions.

The folk dance ensemble "Thea Maass" of the TU Dresden is a member of:
