Jens Fjellström (born October 27, 1964 in Umeå ) is a former Swedish football player .

Career

Fjellström made his debut in 1988 for Djurgårdens IF in Fotbollsallsvenskan . In 1990 he won the Svenska Cup with the club . After he had to relegate with the club at the end of the 1992 season from the first division, he joined league rivals Malmö FF . With his new club he suffered the same fate in 1999, but remained loyal to the club in the Superettan and managed with him the direct promotion. After the end of the second division season, he ended his active career.

During an Australian tour of the Swedish national team , Fjellström made his debut on January 26, 1992 in the 0-0 draw against Australia in the selection. He played his second and last international match against the same opponent on February 2 of the same year.

In the meantime, Fjellström worked as a football expert for the Swedish branch of Canal + . At the 2006 World Cup , he also worked for TV4 .

In the summer of 2016, Fjellström returned to his former club to complete the coaching staff around Allan Kuhn as the coaching assistant responsible for analysis and data .
