Jens-Christian Magnussen (* 12. February 1956 in Brunsbüttelkoog ) is a German politician of the CDU .

Life and work

After completing secondary school in 1973 at the Boje Realschule in Brunsbüttel , Magnussen completed an apprenticeship as an electrical engineer at the Hugo Peters shipyard in Wewelsfleth by 1975 . He then worked for an installation company in Brunsbüttel. From 1977 to 1979 Magnussen attended the technical college for electrical engineering / electronics in Meldorf , which ended with the aptitude test to become a trainer. Magnussen then worked as a plant operator in a chemical company and from 1980 as a technical employee in an installation company. In 1981 he switched to an engineering office as a technical employee. Magnussen has been self-employed since 1990 with a planning office for electrical engineering. In 2000 he passed the examination to become a master in electrical engineering at the Flensburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry .

Jens Magnussen is married and has two sons.

politics

1995 Magnussen joined the CDU. Magnussen was a member of the Brunsbüttel City Council from 1998 to 2005 and 2008 to 2013, where he was deputy chairman of the CDU council group until 2005. From 2003 to 2008 he was chairman of the local advisory board in Westerbüttel / Osterbelmhusen. In 2005 he was district chairman in Dithmarschen.

MP

From 2005 to 2017 was Magnussen for three parliamentary terms as directly elected Member of Parliament constituency Dithmarschen-South Member of Parliament of Schleswig-Holstein . In the state elections in 2005 it achieved 51.4%, in the state elections in 2009 40.4% and in the state elections in 2015 42.4% of the first votes . In the CDU parliamentary group he had been energy policy spokesman since 2009.

In 2017 he left the state parliament.

Others

From 1996 to 2003 Magnussen was the first chairman of a sports club with 600 members.
