Jephza (born January 21, 1990 in Cologne ; real name Jeffrey Philipp Dominic Giesa ) is a German rapper . The stage name is made up of letters from his real name. Jephza is under contract with the Kassel music label Lagunenstyles .

biography

Jephza grew up in Bergheim and began writing poetry and texts in his early teens. At the age of fourteen he moved with his family to the Westerwald , where he became more intensely involved with hip-hop and produced his own songs. In 2005 and 2006 he distributed free demo tapes . In 2008 he released the mixtape Straight Up, which was also free . In 2009 Jephza was hospitalized after a knife attack, which he survived, however, seriously injured.

On his twentieth birthday, the EP biodiversity was released for free download on the Internet, in which he processed events like the knife attack with songs like I'll survive . On June 21, 2011, Jephza's first solo album Nachtwache was released . The resulting video single Parkbänke reached number 2 in the audience charts on Yavido TV . On December 21 of the same year he released the EP Holla At Ya Waldfee! with his longtime friend Davido . On June 21, 2013, his first sound carrier, Supertramp , was released on CD. On December 15, 2017, his third album Unterholz was released with his DJ and producer bitbeats on the Kassel label Lagunenstyles.
