Jerry Hsu

Jerry Hsu (born December 17, 1981 in San José, California ) is a professional American skateboarder . He is under contract with seven different companies.

Jerry Hsu started skating in 1992. He doesn't like to skate in competitions, he prefers to make videos. He likes to use little things like curbs and parking lot barriers for his tricks.

He is one of the few Asian-Americans into professional boarding and is nicknamed Asian Elvis .

He has also made a name for himself with photography. In 2007 he had several exhibitions. His photos also appeared in the Vice Photo Book , an anthology published by Vice Magazine .

He's one of those skaters who ride goofy , i. that is, his right foot is the front guide foot on the skateboard. He is known for his good switch and nollies skills .

Hsu is a member of the San Jose Tilt Mode Army Crew , a group of skateboarders who make skateboarding videos. They also have a sponsor, but they still value showing the sport as a social event. He has appeared in videos such as Bag of Suck , The Storm (1999) and Subject to Change . He won an award from Transworld Skateboarding Magazine for best video part in Bag of Suck .
A playable character in the console game Skate bears his name.
