Jerry Uche Mbakogu (born October 1, 1992 in Lagos ) is a Nigerian football player who is currently under contract for the Italian first division club Carpi FC as a striker .

Career

Mbakogu was born in Lagos but moved to Italy at a young age . In 2002, at the age of nine, he began his football career with the youth team Calcio Padova . It developed rapidly and was awarded to US Palermo in 2009 . On August 28, 2010 Mbakogu made his debut 1-1 between Calcio Padova and FC Crotone . Three days later, Mbakogu was awarded to the SS Juve Stabia . There he played three years in which he played 68 games and scored 13 goals. On September 2, 2013, Calcio Padova loaned Mbakogu to Carpi FC. With his seven goals in 27 games, he helped Carpi to end the season in 12th place and thus achieve the highest ranking in the club's history. On July 23, 2014, Carpi signed FC Mbakogu and the latter signed a contract until 2019.
