Jerry Only

Jerry Only , actually Gerard Caiafa , (born April 21, 1959 in Lodi , New Jersey ) is an American rock musician who became known as a long-time member of the punk band The Misfits .
The creation of the stage name Jerry Only is due to a misunderstanding. When he was asked what artist name he wanted to have when designing the first Static Age album , he replied: "Jerry, only Jerry." ("Jerry, just Jerry.")
In 1977 Jerry was one of the founding members of the horror punk band The Misfits as bass player , to which his younger brother Paul Doyle Caiafa also joined as guitarist a little later . With another companion, his band colleague Glenn Danzig , he became deeply hostile after the band ended in 1983. After some complaints from Danzig regarding his rights to the Misfits, Only was allowed in 1995 to continue a new band as Misfits.
Together with other veterans of the New York scene, Only formed the supergroup Osaka Popstar in 2006 .
