Jerzy unicorn

Jerzy Einhorn (born July 26, 1925 in Częstochowa , Poland , † April 28, 2000 in Stockholm , Sweden ) was a Polish-Swedish radiation therapist and politician ( Kristdemokraterna ).

He became Dr. med. 1958, private lecturer in radiation therapy at the Karolinska Institute , Stockholm , 1959, senior physician at Radiumhemmet, the cancer clinic of the Karolinska Institute, and professor of radiation therapy since 1967. Chairman of the European Federation of Cancer Societies from 1975. From 1984 he was chairman of the Nobel Association of Karolinska Institute. He was a member of the Swedish Reichstag as a representative of the Christian Democrats from 1991 to 1994.

In his memoir, Utvald att leva, Einhorn described his childhood and youth in Poland and how he was one of the few Polish Jews who survived the Holocaust . He is the father of the writer Lena Einhorn .
