Jesús González Dávila

Jesús González Dávila (born May 5, 1940 in Mexico City , † May 8, 2000 ) was a Mexican actor , screenwriter , dramaturge , theater and film director .

biography

González studied law and humanities at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and graduated from the Theater Acting School of the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (INBA). He made his acting debut in 1963. From 1967 to 1970 he worked in theater for children with street children in his hometown. In 1970 he wrote his first screenplay for “La fábrica de los juguetes” for the IV. Festival of Fine Arts and then also worked in the film sector. From 1977 he took lessons in the dramaturgical workshops of Hugo Argüelles Cano and later with Vicente Leñero Otero .

González was Professor Emeritus of Dramatic Composition at the Sociedad General de Escritores de México (SOGEM). He died in 2000 from cancer.
