Yeschiwa Gedolah Frankfurt is a Talmud - Torah school that opened in Frankfurt in 2000 . The yeshiva is characterized in particular by its social commitment and its commitment to new immigrants, but also by various activities and events to promote understanding of the Jewish religion . It was the first Orthodox yeshiva to be opened in Germany after the Second World War and the Holocaust and follows the tradition of the Frankfurt yeshiva founded by Salomon Breuer in 1890 .
