The Fleming Point is a cape on the Brabant Island in the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago . Together with Humann Point 7 km to the south-west, it marks the mouth of the Rush Glacier in Dallmann Bay .
It was roughly mapped during the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903-1905) under the direction of Jean-Baptiste Charcots . Aerial photographs taken by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. in the years 1956 to 1957, were used in 1959 for the complete mapping. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the cape in 1960 after the British bacteriologist and Nobel Prize winner Alexander Fleming (1881–1955), the discoverer of penicillin .
