Jesse Duplantis (born July 9, 1949 in New Orleans ) is an American evangelical pastor who is counted among the followers of the gospel of prosperity .

Life

Duplantis was born in 1949 as a member of the Cajun in Louisiana .

In 1976 he gave his first sermon in a service given by John Hagee . From 1978 Duplantis was a full-time television preacher .

Jesse Duplantis is pro-Israel and a member of Christians United for Israel .

Controversy

In 2018, he came under fire for asking his followers for $ 54 million for a new private jet.
