Jessica Thönen (born July 14, 1991 ) is a former Swiss grass skier . She only took part in international races in the 2007 season and this year reached tenth place in the overall World Cup.

Career

Thönen contested her first FIS races in Altenseelbach at the beginning of June 2007 . She was ninth in the giant slalom and fifth in the slalom. A week later she was eighth in the giant slalom and tenth in the Super-G at the FIS races in Traisen, and she was eliminated in the slalom. She achieved her best results another three weeks later at the FIS races in Chiomonte , where she was second in both slalom and giant slalom. However, only two or three runners finished in these races. On July 22, 2007, she took part in her only World Cup race in Marbachegg . In this giant slalom, she finished ninth last, but with that she won World Cup points and, thanks to the bonus points from the FIS races in the 2007 season , reached tenth place overall. This World Cup race was also her last international grass ski race.
