Jethro D. Founder

Jethro D. Founder (born January 27, 1958 in Görlitz ) is a German actor , author , director and horseman. He is known for his work at the Landestheater in Eisenach and the Freie Eisenacher Burgtheater, as well as through various in-house productions, of which "Luther - Das Schauspiel" , based on the Hollywood movie " Luther - The Film ", received strong recognition from critics and high in Germany Found media interest.

From 1983 to 1987 founder studied acting at the "Hans Otto" theater school in Leipzig . He spent two years in the drama studio of the Dresden State Theater under Wolfgang Engel. He then got an engagement at the Landestheater Eisenach until 1993, where he also directed for the first time.

In 2004 the ensemble had to disband due to economic constraints. Founder tried to keep the burgtheater alive with various in-house productions (e.g. "Engelsflug - hello mom I'm coming"). His versions of the Christmas fairy tale freely based on Grimm enjoy cult status in Eisenach to this day. In 2005 the premiere of "Luther - Das Schauspiel" at the Luther Festival in Eisenach was a notable success. 2007 exceeded by "INK POT AND ROSENWUNDER - Martin dreams Elisabeth". In 2008 founder moved to Saxony to fulfill his big dream on a farm: horse training and court theater. The Christmas fairy tale and Luther remain in Eisenach.
