Jette Solmar
Jette Solmar , actually Henriette Marie Solmar (born January 4, 1794 in Berlin ; † November 26, 1889 ibid) was a German singer and salonnière .
Jette Solmar, who came from a Jewish family, sang soprano solo parts in Carl Friedrich Zelter's Sing-Akademie from 1812 . After the death of her father in 1817 (like her brother in 1811) she converted to the Christian faith and became a member of the Protestant Church.
From 1828 Jette Solmar hosted an important salon in Berlin for over three decades , which was frequented by numerous scholars and artists.
