Yevgeny Pavlovich Glebow

Yevgeny Pavlovich Glebow ( Russian Евгений Павлович Глебов ; born October 10, 1924 in the village of Sabunschin, near Baku ; † October 23, 1975 in Baku) was a Soviet rear admiral . From June 30, 1974 to December 1975, he was in command of the Red Banner Caspian Officers College of the Naval Forces SM Kirov of the Soviet naval fleet in Baku.

Life

Glebow was born into a working class family. In 1940 he entered marine special school. After graduating, he began training at the Caspian Naval War College in 1942. In 1948 he became a member of the CPSU . From 1946 to 1949 he served on submarines in the Northern Fleet . He then took up a teaching position at the Frunze Sea War College. He received his doctorate in 1956, was appointed head of the department and deputy headmaster, and became a professor in 1972.

Glebow published more than 60 major scientific papers as well as textbooks and monographs. He was also a member of the Baku City Council .

He was buried in the Leningrad Serafim Cemetery.
