JewishGen is a US website , an online database for researching genealogical information. It is a non-profit organization with three permanent employees and over 1,000 volunteers and is organizationally linked to the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York .

JewishGen was founded in 1987 by Susan E. King and is now managed by Warren Blatt, Avraham Groll and Michael Tobias.

Among other things, information on the Holocaust can be found , such as lists of members of Jewish communities in Germany who were deported and killed. You can search by place or name. The database currently has around 20 million records.

The sub- database ShtetlSeeker is a database to search for locations in 45 countries in Central and Central Europe as well as in the Middle East.

The Worldwide Burial Registry (JOWBR) can be used to search for burial places worldwide.
