Jez Alborough

Jez Alborough (born November 13, 1959 in Kingston upon Thames ) is a British author and illustrator of numerous children's books whose works have been translated into 15 languages ​​and have received numerous awards.

biography

After compulsory schooling, Alborough completed three years of artistic training at the School of Art in Norwich . In his senior year of college, he published his first book, A Bun Dance . After graduating, he worked as a freelancer for various publications and after some time was employed by the Welsh magazine The Listener . His work resulted in another book, Dotty Definitions , where he received a request to illustrate his first children's book, Bare Bear , published in 1984. Since then, Alborough has been working as a freelance children's book author and illustrator. He lives with his Danish wife in Richmond , a part of Greater London .
