Jiangyan

Jiangyan ( Chinese  姜堰区 , pinyin Jiangyan Qū ) is a Chinese district of the prefecture-level city of Taizhou in the province of Jiangsu . It emerged in 2012 from the city of Jiangyan of the same name.

Jiangyan has an area of ​​1,046 km² and a population of 900,000.

The Tianmu Shan site ( 天目山 遗址 , Tiānmùshān yízhǐ ) from the time of the Western Zhou dynasty has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-77) since 2006 .
