Jimmy Roye (born September 8, 1988 in Paris ) is a French football player .

Career

Roye was accepted into the youth department of the southern French professional club OGC Nice in 2003 and moved from there to SC Amiens in 2006 , where he did not make the jump to the first team and instead decided in 2008 to switch to third division Calais RUFC . In the northern French town of Calais, the young player became a regular. Because he was able to prevent the team's relegation at the end of his first season, he left the club anyway and signed with Paris FC, also third-rate . At the club from the French capital, he was again given a regular place, which he was able to keep until his move to league rivals Chamois Niort in 2011.

At Niort he was not only one of the top performers, but also achieved a double-digit number of goals for the first time with ten goals in the 2011/12 season. With these he contributed to the promotion at the end of the season, which meant his first jump into a professional league. Thus, Roye made his professional debut when he stood on July 27, 2012 in a 1-1 draw against Clermont Foot over the full length of the game on the court. After that he was able to maintain his regular place.
