João Gomez de Araújo (composer, 1871)

João Gomez de Araújo (born October 23, 1871 in Pindamonhangaba , † July 19, 1963 in São Paulo ) was a Brazilian composer.

The son of João de Gomez Araújo studied at the Conservatoire in Naples and in Paris and worked as a music teacher in São Paulo. He left behind over six hundred works, including three operas , four symphonies , six symphonic suites, eight string quartets , piano pieces and songs .
