Joël Robert
Joël Robert (born November 26, 1943 in Châtelet , Belgium ) is a former Belgian motocross racer and six-time world champion .
In 1964 Robert won the world title in the class up to 250 cm³ as the youngest driver in history on ČZ . After three second places in the World Cup, two more titles with ČZ followed. After moving to Suzuki , Robert was able to enter three more world championships and thus win five titles in a row.
Robert's record of 50 race wins lasted for over 30 years and was only broken in 2004 by Stefan Everts . Today Robert is active as manager of the Belgian national motocross team. In 2004, he appeared in the comedy film Aaltra as himself.
