Joachim English

Joachim Englisch (* 1973 ) is a German legal scholar .

Life

After completing his military service , he studied law and business administration at the universities of Saarbrücken , Salamanca and Cologne from 1993 to 1998 (first state legal examination in Cologne in 1998; assessor examination in 2001 in Düsseldorf ). Then he was initially a research assistant , from 2004 to 2007 research assistant at the Institute for Tax Law at the University of Cologne ; 18 months of which are released for a DFG research grant . After completing his doctorate in 2004 and habilitation in 2007 at the law faculty there, he was initially a substitute professor at the law faculty of the University of Augsburg from 2007 , where he has held the chair for tax law, financial law and public law since January 1, 2008 . In April 2010 he switched to a chair for public law and tax law at the University of Münster .
