Joachim Friedrich Karl Brandenburg

Joachim Friedrich Karl Brandenburg (born October 21, 1774 in Rostock ; † July 19, 1844 there ) was a German lawyer. From 1830 to 1844 he was a mayor of Rostock.

Life

Joachim Friedrich Karl Brandenburg was the son of the lawyer Johann Christian Brandenburg. He studied law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and at the University of Rostock and from 1799 worked as a lawyer in the law firm and at the Rostock Higher Court. In 1804 he was elected senator and looked after the archives of the magistrate's college. In 1805 he received his doctorate in Rostock. From 1809 he was provisional of the Poor Clare monastery in Ribnitz . Brandenburg was fourth mayor in Rostock from 1824 until his death in 1844. Other offices from 1828 onwards were his membership of the patronage of the large city school and that of the director of the Rostock brand insurance company.
