Joachim Friedrich von Schlieben

Joachim Friedrich von Schlieben (also Johann Friedrich von Schlieben ; † 1697 ) was state syndic and consistorial councilor of Lower Lusatia .

Life

He was a son of Lieutenant Colonel Adam von Schlieben on Falkenhain. Joachim Friedrich studied law. In 1663 he received the villages of Golzig and Kaden from his father.

In 1666 he became state syndic and acted as the spokesman for the estates before the ducal-Saxon councilor Georg Heinrich von Luckowien when the new Saxon sovereign rulership established an administration in Lower Lusatia. In 1668 von Schlieben was appointed as one of two secular consistorial councils of the newly founded Protestant consistory in Lübben . He had no offspring entitled to inherit.
