Joachim Ladler

Joachim Ladler (born August 29, 1975 in Bad Radkersburg ) is an Austrian extreme athlete . He lives in Graz .

Athletic career

Ladler gained experience in cycling from 1990 to 2000 ; In 1999 he finished the Tour of Croatia in third place overall.

In 2010 Ladler contested his first twelve-hour race in Hitzendorf and finished second behind the Slovenian Marko Baloh . In 2011 he won his first 24-hour race in Kaindorf . In the Race Around Slovenia 2012 he qualified sixth for the Race Across America . In the same year he retired from the Race Around Austria (2200 kilometers; 28,000 vertical meters) 150 kilometers before the finish due to an accident. Three weeks later he won the 24-hour race in Hitzendorf. In 2013 he achieved second place in Slovenia and four weeks later won the Glocknerman and thus the ultra-cycling world championship. He celebrated his greatest success in August 2013 when he won the Race Around Austria . He drove the 2200 kilometers and 28,000 vertical meters with a new course record of 93 hours and 5 minutes.
