Warne Livesey
Warne Livesey (born February 12, 1959 in London ) is a British music producer , sound engineer and musician . He was best known for his productions for artists and rock bands such as The The , Julian Cope , Matthew Good , Deacon Blue and Midnight Oil . His best-known songs include Heartland by The The, Trampolene by Julian Cope and Beds Are Burning by Midnight Oil.
life and career
Warne Livesey (born 1959 in London) began his career as a musician, but soon discovered his special talent as a sound engineer working on the mixing console for various music groups and solo artists. In 1980 he started working as an engineer on Keshavan Maslak's album Loved by Millions . Since the mid-1980s he has also been responsible for numerous albums as a producer.
For the British rock band The The around the charismatic singer and songwriter Matt Johnson , Warne Livesey produced the internationally successful album Infected in 1986 and the subsequent album Mind Bomb , which was released in 1989 . In 1987 he took over the production of the rock album Saint Julian for the British singer and guitarist Julian Cope .
Due to the enormous international success of the album production Diesel and Dust in 1988 for the Australian band Midnight Oil , Livesey moved from England to Australia without further ado. There he looked after the group until they broke up in 2002. Capricornia was the band's last album. Livesey then moved to Canada with his family as an independent music producer.
During the 1980s, Warne Livesey produced many successful pop and rock albums that reached high chart positions. He was also active as a music producer during the 1990s and 2000s. During this time, as a sound engineer and producer, he supervised and produced numerous albums by artists and bands such as Icehouse , All About Eve , Jesus Jones, Mark Hollis , Sarah Cracknell , Hooverphonic , Holly McNarland, Mick Stevens or 54-40.
Warne Livesey now lives and works as an independent producer, sound engineer and musician in Vancouver , Canada .
