Joachim Raab

Joachim Raab (* 1948 in Neu-Isenburg ) is a German painter and photographer .

Life

After completing an apprenticeship as a bookbinder , Raab studied at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach am Main and the Frankfurt Städelschule . He lives as a freelance artist in Frankfurt am Main .

Raab, who has always divided his work into work blocks, worked mainly with the mineral "salt" between 1975 and 2006 (painting and objects). From 2002 onwards he created several photo series, since 2006 he has been working in the field of painting on a work block that deals exclusively with the subject of forests.
